PRESERVING YOUR LÉTRANGE BAG
LÉTRANGE House was marked by the destiny of a young saddler whose work, care, and determination brought his creations all around the world and to the forefront of French leather goods brands. The Maison was the most important of the corporation in 1938. Our commitment stick to Armand Létrange's ones in 1865 : "Achieve excellence and challenge it every day."
OUR LEATHERS TELL A STORY
A LÉTRANGE bag is a precious item and our leathers are delicate. For this reason, our creations require a particular attention. All LÉTRANGE materials, from the leather to the metallic parts can request a repair and a new lease of life.
TO CARE FOR LEATHER
In order to preserve its appearance, please keep your bag in its original dust bag in a cool, dry and well-ventilated place. Do not enclose your bag in an airtight space or container such as plastic. Do not store your bag in a damp or overly warm room. Avoid contact with water, and any alcoholic or greasy substances (perfumes, solvents, cosmetic or food products). Avoid any prolonged exposure to intense heat or intense light.
For cleaning, use a soft, dry cotton cloth to remove dust and dirt. If the bag comes into contact with water, immediately and gently dab the leather with a soft, light-colored cloth.
PRESERVE THE JEWELRY
The handle of the Empreinte is a true jewel. For its care, use the polishing cloth included with the Empreinte bag. In case of oxidation of your handle or any other metal parts, we recommend using a special polishing cloth imbued with a cleaning and anti-oxidation product. Proceed with care, gently buffing the hardware to remove any traces of oxidation and polish the surface. You can repeat these steps on our Saddle Nails and Solitaires.
For superficial scratches, you can use polishing paste and very gently rub the metal. Use this product with caution. Our Product Care service can recommend a specific type of imbued polishing cloth as well as polishing paste. If your bag shows signs of wear, please contact us.
